Ingredients
1 15oz can of black beans, drained, rinsed
1 egg-1/2c breadcrumbs
3 garlic cloves, minced
4oz pepper jack cheese, shredded
1/2 red onion, sliced thin-buns of choice (we use hawaiian rolls)

1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp smoked paprika
1/8 tsp cayenne powder
1/2 tsp dried cilantro
1/2 tsp mushroom powder
1 tsp brown sugar
Instructions
To small bowl, add breadcrumbs, egg, spices, and 2oz of your shredded cheese. Combine
Add mixture to your beans and mix until combined
With your hands, form balls and press them between two pieces of parchment paper to create a patty-shape
On medium/high heat, sear and top with cheese. Cover to melt cheese.
After removing the pattys, cook onions on medium until soft
